《使女的故事 The Handmaid’s Tale》，这部Hulu直接预订的剧由Margaret Atwood小说改篇，该剧编剧为Bruce Miller，他与Daniel Wilson﹑Fran Sears ﹑Warren Littlefield及Margaret Atwood同为执行制片，首季定于17年播出。
Elisabeth Moss已加盟该剧，饰演主角Offred，一位力图在一个叫Gilead的极权主义政权国家中生存。这小说曾在1990年改篇成电影，是讲述未来的世界中，美国被推翻并建立了一个名为Gilead的反乌托邦﹑极权主义的社会。面对着环境灾难和出生率暴跌，Gilead奉行一种扭曲的宗教基要主义，就是女性是「国家的财产」。

Joseph Fiennes饰演具权力的高级别领导者Fred Waterford，是新政权Gilead的开国元勋，Offred就是他的使女；Yvonne Strahovski饰演Serena Joy，是Fred Waterford的妻子，是家中员工的领导。作为一个有影响力的公众人物，她会同时争取传统价值观，也支持Gilead的建立。
Max Minghella饰演Nick，是反乌托邦﹑极权主义之地Gilead的一名守卫，他在领导者Waterford的家中居住，并且为Waterford当司机。他与Offred之间有种连系，不过Offred不确定Nick是否秘密警察的线眼。Ann Dowd饰演Lydia姨，是Red Center的负责人，这地方负责为Gilead输送使女。她会不惜一切地训练使女，让她们够格进入Gilead的精英 - 领导者的家里。
Samira Wiley饰演Moria，是Offred大学时的闺蜜，跟女主一样在Red Center中受训成为使女，而且Moria是Offred对Gilead未推翻美国前的世界，所仅有的连系。Madeline Brewer饰演有坚定信念的Janine，是Offred在Red Center认识的使女同伴，不过她因为受到严厉的惩罚后，正要对现实失去信心。
