《神医大道公》是以保生大帝的故事为题材创作的大型古装神话喜剧，是第一部展现保生大帝故事的电视剧。本剧是两岸第一部正式合拍的电视剧，两岸正式开放影视合作政策之后。第一部与台湾合作的电视剧，同时这也是台湾主流电视台第一次以预购版权的方式参与两岸电视剧的合作，开创了两岸戏剧合作的新模式。
改编自火星小说《冥海禁地》。疍家长大的弃儿卞海生一心想当海捞子。在首次海捞时偶然捞得黄金盔甲碎片，却遭遇海盗被擒，偶遇神秘灵药岛岛主孙女安素，两人一起逃至灵药岛中历经重重磨难找到传说中的神秘文明海底城，获得超自然力量，却发现自己竟是原海盗王河伯的儿子河东晟，手刃杀父仇人之后最终成为新一代海盗王的故事。
