该剧是国内首部讲述80后婚育生活的电视剧。讲述男主人公陈百峰与女主人公安可的婚后生活为主线 ，以陈百锋与耿耿复杂的家庭状态为背景，辅以陈百锋的死党钟诚与安可的闺密谢小菲男追女的过程、耿耿与警察小濮的相识相恋女追男的爱情副线。
