小狗狗则是从90条参加甄选的狗狗中选出来的。因为剧中一家生活在能看见东京sky tree的老街，所以狗狗在片中被取名字叫SKY。朝日电视台称：希望这部家庭剧既能让大家感觉到欢乐又能有感动。
