据悉本次翻拍将大量使用实景，以展现波澜壮阔的倚天世界。剧本也会在最大程度上遵循原著精神，力图 能够推翻以往张无忌给观众带来的诸如懦弱、优柔寡断等刻板印象，希望能将张无忌如星辰大海一般广博的胸怀展示给更多观众，也让大家对他的偏见少一点。另外张无忌与赵敏、周芷若、小昭、殷离之间的情愫也是本作的看点之一。
