《雷顿教授》是《勇者斗恶龙8》的开发商Level-5在NDS平台推出的首个游戏系列，加上昨天发售的《雷顿教授与最后的时间旅行》，本系列一共推出了 3部作品。这个系列讲述的是雷顿教授（CV：大泉洋）与助手路克（CV：堀北真希）挑战各个谜团重重的遗迹的故事。游戏于2007年12月漫画化，这次是正式的动画化。
