《古村女人》讲述的是江南一个叫鹭仙古村里两代女人的生活故事，其中以谢兰饰演的梁红英的曲折爱情和她经历三个时代命运变化为主线，展示了我国农村70年代末至21世纪初近30年的沧桑巨变，阐述了不同时代妇女的不同命运。该剧以江西本土文化为基调，以安义古村群的生活风貌及深厚文化底蕴为基本素材，讲述了两代古村女人的曲折命运，反映了改革开放三十年来江南农村发生的巨大变化。
